Introduction to Solid Foods and the Baby-Led Approach to Feeding: An Infant Feeding Workshop

A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist will lead this workshop to provide structure and evidence-informed activities that help build skills to facilitate a fun and stress-free transition to complementary feeding. This workshop is for parents and caregivers interested in exploring a baby-led approach to feeding.

Join us in person at Maine Mother + Company in Brunswick or via video call on 10/6 and 12/1 at 10 AM.

  • This workshop is for anyone who wishes to gather a deeper understanding of Baby-Led Weaning and explore the possibility of starting complementary foods. This workshop is not intended to replace medical advice regarding your baby’s developmental progression and readiness for food. Please consult with your healthcare provider before advancing to solids. If you feel that your baby is not developmentally ready to start complementary foods–but would still like to join this workshop–that is okay too. All are welcome to join!

What to Expect

This workshop is focused on breaking down the core principles of baby-led weaning, why starting complementary foods is essential, how to determine signs of readiness, and tips to offer foods safely. This workshop is also intended for parents and caregivers alike to collaborate and share helpful tips/tricks that have already been explored at home with older kiddos. Whether this is your first baby or not, let's all share in this exciting new time in your baby’s development!
